Filmmaker Talks About Her Films on Autism and Lecture at MIND Institute
Autism gets a lot of attention. In media reports, in schools, in communities. But, if you don’t know anyone on the autism spectrum, you likely don’t really know very much about it.
Janet Grillo is a filmmaker with an adult child who is autistic. Her films’ goals include creating understanding, bridging divides and presenting true portrayals of living with a child with autism. Grillo is based in New York City and was in Sacramento to speak on Wednesday, January 8, at the UC Davis MIND Institute.
