My passion for this Big Idea

As I look around UC Davis, I see a campus that is committed to tackling some of today’s most pressing challenges and preparing our students for success in this interconnected world and global job market.

I am passionate about putting more resources and energy into creating more global learning and intercultural experiences for our students.

Our Global Education for All Big Idea is a phenomenal way for UC Davis to build on existing strategies to be at the forefront of engaging our entire community by providing life-changing opportunities for students –– and in the process, creating a brighter future not only for our graduates, but for our communities as well. This is why I am passionate about putting more resources and energy into creating more global learning and intercultural experiences for our students –– whether they be right here on campus, in the surrounding communities or thousands of miles away.

Together, we can prepare each and every one of UC Davis’ 39,000 students –– building on who they are, their fields of study and areas of interest –– to be the global leaders and problem solvers of today and tomorrow.
