My passion for this Big Idea

My personal experiences with career development inform the way I help students find meaningful work after they graduate. Being the first in my family to graduate from college, I thought I needed a practical major to have a fulfilling career, so I studied molecular biology and struggled with what I wanted to do after I graduated. I am fortunate to eventually have found career satisfaction and am committed to helping others do the same. I know that, with the right preparation and resources, students can successfully attain their dreams.

It’s deeply important to me that UC Davis is a place where, regardless of background, all of our graduates are positioned for careers they find meaningful.

It’s deeply important to me that UC Davis is a place where, regardless of background, all of our graduates are positioned for careers they find meaningful. I love the university’s land-grant mission because of its positive impacts on many levels: Students learn about themselves, the world of opportunities available to them and thrive at our university, then contribute to the economy and have satisfying careers. It’s a beautiful cycle that keeps us all growing.

Aggie Launch will offer the comprehensive career-preparation that will allow our students to be competitive in their career pursuits and successful in their lives after graduation.
